Alexis Garcia, P.A.
Alexis Garcia was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where she graduated Cum Laude at Florida International University earning her Bachelors of Science. She then obtained her law degree from St. Thomas University, College of Law.
Upon graduating law school, Mrs. Garcia has concentrated her entire career working as a consumer advocate, utilizing her skills and knowledge to help those who have suffered from the economic recession by defending and advocating their rights in foreclosure cases and assisting individuals in starting fresh through the discharge of their debts in consumer bankruptcy. Mrs. Garcia has extensive experience working on foreclosure defense cases from their inception through trial. Mrs. Garcia is committed to advocating for men, women and families during financial crisis including bankruptcy, modification and real estate matters. Prior to founding Alexis Garcia, P.A., Mrs. Garcia worked in other consumer advocate firms and has spent years sharpening her tools to defend the interest and protect the rights of families.
Mrs. Garcia is a member of The Florida Bar as well as the Dade County Bar Association. She is licensed to practice in Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. When she is not working Mrs. Garcia enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
Franklin A. Jara, Esq. of Counsel
Franklin A. Jara was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Currently, Jara concentrates his practice in the areas of labor and employment; real estate; landlord and tenant law; and commercial business disputes at Jara & Associates, P.A.<
In 1998, Jara graduated with honors from Florida International University (FIU) in Miami with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and a minor in Latin American and Caribbean studies. During his time at FIU, Jara was actively involved with the Latin American and Caribbean Center (LACC). After graduating from FIU, Jara attended Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where he earned a Juris Doctor degree in 2002. His scholastic achievements were acknowledged throughout his time at NSU as he was recognized as a Dean’s Fellow, earned a place on the Dean’s List, participated in the Pro Bono Honor Program, and served as a certified legal intern in the Office of the Associate Chief Counsel, United States Customs.
Prior to forming Jara & Associates, P.A., Jara was an associate attorney at Simon, Schindler & Sandberg, L.L.P. in Miami. His duties included involvement in all stages of commercial litigation from inception to trial, employment law and employment litigation as well as client contact and counseling. He also worked for several years at Spiegel & Utrera, P.A. in Coral Gables, Florida as an associate attorney managing an extensive caseload in the practice area of commercial litigation and spent time as an associate attorney at J.H. Zidell, P.A. in Miami Beach, Florida.
Jara is fluent in English and Spanish. He is admitted to the Florida Bar; the United States Supreme Court; the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit; the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida; and the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida.
